It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amanda Ferguson, a loving mother, devoted friend, and cherished resident of Alcoa, Tennessee. Amanda tragically passed away, leaving behind her two beloved children, Lane and Caroline, whose lives will never be the same without her presence, guidance, and unconditional love.
Amanda was 44 years old and a beacon of light in the Alcoa community. She was known not only for her compassionate heart but for her tireless dedication to her family, friends, faith, and career. As a single mother, she lived every day for her children, pouring every ounce of strength, sacrifice, and love into giving them the best life possible.
Amanda’s life was a beautiful testimony of resilience, grace, and faith. She loved the Lord deeply, and her faith was the foundation upon which she built her life and raised her children. No matter the obstacles, Amanda met every challenge with unwavering courage and kindness. She was a quiet hero in the lives of many—a woman who never asked for anything but gave her all.
Amanda Ferguson Alcoa TN Obituary: Cherished Resident Passes Away
Professionally, Amanda worked at Ares Medical, where she was respected and admired by both her colleagues and patients. She studied Advanced Emergency Medical Technology at Roane State Community College, pursued Radiography/MRI at South College in Knoxville, and completed the Radiography Program at Roane State. She was a dedicated healthcare professional who cared for others with compassion and integrity.
Amanda was originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, and attended Powell High School. She later made her home in Alcoa, where she became an integral part of the community. Whether it was volunteering at school events, cheering from the sidelines, or lending a helping hand to neighbors in need, Amanda was always there—smiling, serving, and showing up for others.
Her children, Lane and Caroline, were the light of her life. Lane is a sophomore at Alcoa High School and a proud member of the football team. Caroline, a freshman, is an enthusiastic and talented soccer player. Sports were a big part of their lives, and Amanda made sure they had every opportunity to participate, grow, and shine—even when it meant personal sacrifice.
As many know, raising children—especially active teenagers involved in extracurriculars—is both rewarding and costly. Amanda did everything she could to ensure her children never felt the weight of financial burdens. Now, in the wake of her unexpected passing, we are coming together as a community to support Lane and Caroline in the same way Amanda supported all of us—with open arms and generous hearts.
We are humbly asking for your support in helping financially with funeral expenses, as well as Lane and Caroline’s daily living needs and their future college fund. These two remarkable young people have lost their entire world, and now more than ever, they need the love, prayers, and financial support of a caring community.
If you find it in your heart to give—whether it’s a little or a lot—please know that every donation counts, and every gift will go directly toward helping these children find some stability and hope in this incredibly difficult time. Your generosity will ensure they can continue their education, participate in the sports they love, and begin to heal while building a future their mother always dreamed for them.
Amanda may no longer walk among us, but her spirit, values, and love will forever live on in Lane and Caroline. Let us honor her legacy by rallying around the ones she loved most, by showing them that they are not alone, and that the community Amanda poured so much into is now here for them in their time of greatest need.
For those unable to give financially, we ask for your continued prayers. Pray for Lane and Caroline’s strength. Pray for their comfort and peace. Pray that they feel Amanda’s love surround them every single day.
Amanda Ferguson’s life is a testament to love, selflessness, and quiet strength. Let us carry her legacy forward by walking alongside her children and lifting them up the way she would have done for any of us.
Rest in peace, Amanda. You were deeply loved, and you will be missed more than words can
